EU Horizon Europe Funded Doctoral Network
Condensates at Membrane Scaffolds – Integrated Systems as Synthetic Cell Compartments
ComeInCell is a European Doctoral Network at the forefront of synthetic cell research. Our mission is to develop advanced cellular mimics that integrate functional membrane structures and biomolecular condensates. By creating these next-generation synthetic cells, we aim to shed light on complex cellular mechanisms, particularly those involved in neurodegenerative diseases and membrane trafficking, as well as accelerate drug discovery and therapeutic innovation.
This ambitious project brings together a diverse team of experts in biophysics, nanotechnology, biochemistry, and bioengineering. Our doctoral candidates will receive interdisciplinary training, gaining hands-on experience with state-of-the-art methodologies and working closely with both academic institutions and industry partners.
Through ComeInCell, we’re not just advancing scientific knowledge – we’re cultivating a new generation of quantitative synthetic biologists equipped to tackle global challenges in biomedical research and biotechnology. Join us as we explore the fascinating interface between membranes and condensates, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies and research tools!
